Wise

Ancient civilizations had a thing for wisdom, while Western civilization, particularly since the scientific revolution, has been more enamoured with knowledge, the gathering of factual information about the world.

Recently, there is a renewed interest in wisdom.  Our technology and knowledge isn’t  translating into fullness of life for our planet. The wise application of knowledge gained through the scientific method is equally important.  You can see this hunger for wisdom in the proliferation of podcasts, blogs, instragrams, life coaches, and the health and wellness industry.

On Sunday morning, people shared on slips of paper their favorite contemporary wisdom sources -books, podcasts, and the like helping them live more wisely. If you are interested in this list, I will be posting your suggestions on Southpoint’s “The Friendship Bench”, an in-house closed facebook page.  Not a part of the friendship bench?  Send a message to Brian Oger and he’ll help you join.
