Garage Sale!
The Giant Southpoint Community Garage Sale will be held this Saturday, April 12 from 9 am to 2 pm at Morgan Elementary School (3366 156a St) in South Surrey! Donations for the sale can be dropped at the school on Friday, April 11 between 5 and 8 pm. All proceeds from the sale will go to our El Salvador Mission Project. The money will be used this summer (July 31 – Aug 12) to purchase building materials and send a team of 8 from Southpoint down to El Salvador to build clean, simple safe houses for people in the region of Alegria.
A special advance thank-you to: Principal Moy at Morgan Elementary and School District 36 for allowing us the use of the space; to the Peace Arch News for telling the story of our trip to our community; to Janice (and Glen) for initiating this event; and to so many friends who have already donated some fantastic items!

Thanks to everyone from the community! You donated items, helped to price and sort everything and even loaned us vehicles! And, of course, you also bought close to $4000 worth of previously owned treasures! All the money will go directly to purchase building materials for the houses and toward the cost of sending the team down to do the labour. Thanks again!
