At Southpoint, it all begins with God’s Love. The more we know God’s love, the more we grow in our capacity to love. We seek to foster a community of grace that is intentional yet organic, spacious yet authentic, grace-filled yet accountable. We encourage relationships rather than run programs, yet we recognize the importance of intentionality and structure as we nurture life together. We love kids, so in everything we do, we seek to be an intergenerational community.
Like life, our worship varies. Sometimes we use liturgy, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we discuss, sometimes we listen. Sometimes we are all together, sometimes we meet in houses and have breakfast in smaller groups. On the 4th Sunday of every month, we have an ALL IN or ALL OUT worship. On ALL IN Sundays, everyone stays together, and we share a potluck. On ALL OUT Sundays, we meet in small groups, meet outside, or serve the wider community.
During a usual gathering, school aged children under 13 have a small group during the adult talk time and return for communion. We have toys and books in the back where little ones can play. Children are welcomed and loved just as they are, noisy and full of movement!
