The Faces of Grace: Community
At Southpoint, everything begins with God’s radical love. Having been brought home by God’s love, we seek to return and extend this love in tangible ways within our community. Our mission @ Southpoint is simple: love God, love others.

Our life together is formed around three practices which help us live out our calling as Christians: worship, connection and care. As we participate in these practices, God grows love within us.

Worship
Worship is a way of life, not just something we do on a Sunday morning. When we do gather, we seek to worship God in ways that are holistic, accessible, participatory and image-rich. We value creativity, the inclusion of children,  and the integration of worship styles.
Connection
We grow through engagement with God, self, community, and creation. We seek to foster connections that are intentional yet organic, spacious yet authentic, grace-filled yet accountable. We cultivate fellowship rather than run programs, yet we recognize the importance of intentionality and structure as we nurture life together.
Care
As a community, we care. We help out on Sunday mornings, we share food, we show up at hard times in each other’s lives. We create networks and serve communities beyond our church circle.

This month is pledge month at Southpoint. During October, we express our care in tangible ways by collecting pledges for the coming year.  We write down anonymously how much we plan on giving so the leadership team can craft a budget for 2018. This year, we are also writing down the volunteer team we would like to participate in on Sunday mornings. Both these gifts of time and money are ways we express our care for one another. They are also tangible ways we participate in the beautiful kingdom coming into our midst.

October is coming to an end this Sunday. Please bring your pledges into church, or be in touch with Sarah McEvoy if you can’t be there, our treasurer, who will maintain confidentiality.

Thank you,

Anne
